This leather strap is called Black Buttero. It is a whiskey Buttero leather that has been stuffed with black wax, giving it the look of a layer of wax on top of the strap. Over the span of months, the black wax will eventually rub-off the strap to reveal the whiskey undertones of the leather. This leather develops immense character over time and is one of the most lovely leathers to have on a strap.
Like buttero, this leather comes from Italy. It has a firm temper but will break in nicely with wear.
For an approximate wrist size guide:
1. Extra-Small (XS) 100/ 65 will be suitable for a wrist of 5.0 - 5.5 inches.
2. Small size (S) 105/70 will be suitable for a wrist of 6.0 - 6.5 inches.
3. Standard size 115/ 75 will be suitable for a wrist of 6.5 - 7.5 inches.
4. Large size (L) 120/85 will be suitable for a wrist of 7.5 - 8.5 inches.
